INTERZONE at The WEXNER
///INTERZONE/// (Director Dennis McNulty, 2013)
INTERZONE screens at the Box, Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, Ohio.
For the month of September, The Wexner Center for the Arts are screening INTERZONE at The Box, their permanent exhibition space for video.
The changing landscape of Dublin’s once-booming suburbs is the subject of Irish artist Dennis McNulty’s INTERZONE, a video commissioned by Fingal County Council and completed last year while he worked in residence in the Wexner Center’s Film/Video Studio Program. A menacingly alien soundtrack sets the tone for a series of long tracking shots that follow the path of a single woman and show an evolving landscape that shifts from suburban housing projects and retail complexes, to swaths of unused rural land. McNulty introduces INTERZONE and a program of related videos, co-curated with Jennifer Lange, on September 12 at 4:30 PM.
